The Canon EOS M50 was the first EF-M camera to offer 4K video — and became one of Canon's most popular mirrorless cameras as a result. Its 24.1MP Dual Pixel CMOS AF sensor delivers excellent autofocus with face and subject tracking, and the built-in EVF makes it the most complete-feeling camera in the entry-level EF-M range. The fully articulating touchscreen is ideal for vlogging, and the compact, well-designed body is comfortable to hold. The caveat is its 4K: the footage uses a significant crop and Dual Pixel AF is disabled in 4K mode, making 1080p/60p the practical video option. Its successor, the M50 Mark II, addressed some of these limitations — but the original M50 remains one of the most capable and well-rounded EF-M cameras on the used market.
