Gitzo Traveller Series 1 Carbon Fibre Tripod

The most refined professional travel tripod available. Carbon fibre, 1.1kg, folds to 37cm. 148cm maximum height, 8kg load capacity, Gitzo precision ball head. The choice of professionals who demand the absolute best — built to last a career.

GearFrame's Take

The Gitzo Traveller is the benchmark for professional travel tripods. Lighter and more compact than the Peak Design, with the legendary Gitzo build quality that working photographers trust for decades of use. The price is significant — but this is genuinely a tripod you buy once and pass down.

📝 How suitability scores are calculated GearScore™ genre scores are calculated from this camera's verified specifications — autofocus, sensor, weight, weather sealing and more — weighted by what matters for each type of photography. Where a spec sheet misses something (e.g. a manual-focus rangefinder for street), we apply a documented editorial adjustment. Scores are not based on customer reviews. See our full methodology →
