Audio-Technica AT875R Condenser Shotgun Microphone

The Audio-Technica AT875R is a short (175 mm, 80 g) condenser shotgun microphone with an XLR output. It runs only on phantom power (11-52 V), so it needs a camera, recorder or adapter with an XLR input — it cannot plug straight into a 3.5 mm camera socket.

📝 How suitability scores are calculated GearScore™ genre scores are calculated from this camera's verified specifications — autofocus, sensor, weight, weather sealing and more — weighted by what matters for each type of photography. Where a spec sheet misses something (e.g. a manual-focus rangefinder for street), we apply a documented editorial adjustment. Scores are not based on customer reviews. See our full methodology →
