Fujifilm X-Pro1

The Fujifilm X-Pro1 was the camera that launched a revolution. Released in 2012, it introduced the world to the Fujifilm X-mount system — pairing a 16MP X-Trans sensor with a unique hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder and an unashamedly analogue design philosophy. Slow by modern standards but beloved for its rendering, its film simulations, and the experience it offers.

GearFrame's Take

The camera that started it all — slow, imperfect, and still uniquely loveable for the quality of images it produces.

📝 How suitability scores are calculated GearScore™ genre scores are calculated from this camera's verified specifications — autofocus, sensor, weight, weather sealing and more — weighted by what matters for each type of photography. Where a spec sheet misses something (e.g. a manual-focus rangefinder for street), we apply a documented editorial adjustment. Scores are not based on customer reviews. See our full methodology →
