Sony A9 II

The Sony A9 II refined the original A9's groundbreaking stacked sensor formula with a suite of professional upgrades: improved grip ergonomics, a LAN port for instant wired file transfer, faster wireless transfer speeds, an enhanced AF algorithm with improved subject recognition, and a more weather-sealed body. The 24.2MP stacked BSI CMOS sensor and 20fps blackout-free burst remained, but with more reliable eye and body tracking. It became the camera of choice for professional sports photographers and photojournalists who had adopted Sony after years of DSLR use.

GearFrame's Take

The A9 II polished the A9's groundbreaking formula — 20fps blackout-free, improved subject tracking, and a LAN port made it the professional sports standard.
