Camera drones from the Mini and Flip up to the Mavic and Inspire, with the facts that decide which one fits: take-off weight (under 250 g needs no drone registration in the UK), flight time, wind resistance, obstacle sensing, video link and the camera itself. Each drone also shows what its Fly More Combo and screen-controller bundles cost.

Start with weight. A drone under 250 g can be flown in the UK without registering the drone itself (you still need a Flyer ID to fly one with a camera), and it is the easiest kind to take travelling. Heavier drones hold better in wind and carry bigger sensors, so they suit landscapes and paid work. Then look at obstacle sensing — omnidirectional sensing is the biggest safety net for a first drone — and flight time: a Fly More Combo adds two spare batteries and a charging hub, which usually costs less than buying them later. For video work, look for 10-bit log so you can grade the footage, and a tele camera if you need to keep your distance from buildings or people.
Do I need to register a drone under 250 g in the UK?
The drone itself does not need registering when it weighs under 250 g, but anyone flying a drone with a camera needs a Flyer ID, and the operator needs an Operator ID, from the Civil Aviation Authority. Check the CAA's current rules before you fly.
Is a Fly More Combo worth it?
Usually, if you plan to fly more than once a day. It adds spare batteries, a charging hub and a bag for less than buying them separately — each drone page shows the Fly More Combo price next to the drone alone.
