Fujifilm GF 55mm f/1.7 R WR
The fastest wide-aperture prime in the GFX standard range — the GF 55mm f/1.7 R WR is equivalent to 44mm on full-frame and brings a class-leading f/1.7 aperture to the GFX system. The large aperture produces a depth of field and subject separation that no full-frame lens can replicate at equivalent focal lengths, with the tonal richness unique to medium format. Weather sealing, an aperture ring, and a stepping motor AF system make it a serious tool for portrait, documentary, and low-light photography.
GearFrame's Take
The most compelling GFX prime for portrait and low-light work — f/1.7 on a medium format sensor produces subject separation and tonal rendering nothing else can match.
