Fujifilm GFX 50S
The Fujifilm GFX 50S launched the GFX system in 2017 — the camera that made medium-format digital mirrorless accessible for the first time. Its 51.4MP BSI CMOS sensor (43.8 × 32.9mm) offered medium-format image quality at a price dramatically lower than Phase One or Hasselblad, and the interchangeable GF lens mount opened a growing ecosystem of purpose-built medium-format optics. An SLR-style body with weather sealing, dual SD UHS-II slots, and a detachable EVF made it a practical tool for studio, landscape, and commercial photographers. The GFX 50S established Fujifilm as a credible medium-format manufacturer.
