Sigma BF

The Sigma BF is one of the most radical cameras ever made — a full-frame L-mount mirrorless body with almost no physical controls. Its completely flat aluminium front and a touch-only interface remove every dial, button, and lever, reducing the camera to its purest form. Underneath the minimal exterior sits a 24MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor, phase-detect AF, and the complete Sigma colour science. BF stands for 'Beautiful Feelings' — a camera designed to make the act of photography as uncluttered as possible.

GearFrame's Take

The most radical camera in years — no dials, no buttons, just a flat aluminium body and total creative minimalism.

Great For
🏙️
Street Tiny, light, and visually disarming — the BF is the ideal minimal street camera on L-mount.
✈️
Travel 427g full-frame with IBIS — the lightest capable travel camera in the L-mount system.
👤
Portrait 24MP and face/eye detection. The minimal design creates a relaxed, natural portrait experience.
🏔️
Landscape 24MP and weather sealing work well for landscape. 7-stop IBIS allows handheld long exposures.
⚠️ Not Ideal For
🏅
Sports Touch-only controls and limited burst capability are not suited to fast action photography.
🎬
Vlogging & Video Video specs are basic. The articulating screen helps but the Lumix S5 II is far more capable.
