Start with how your camera attaches. GoPro bodies have folding mounting fingers, DJI Osmo Action cameras use a magnetic quick-release (with a finger adapter in the box), and Insta360 X-series 360 cameras use a ¼-20 thread. A mount made by your camera's maker fits without extra parts; some need an adapter that is sold separately, and we say so on the page. Then pick by activity: a chest mount for biking and skiing, a helmet or head mount for a point-of-view shot that follows your eyes, a suction cup for cars, and a selfie stick for vlogging. For 360 cameras, use the maker's invisible selfie stick — it is thin enough to be stitched out of the shot.
Do GoPro mounts fit DJI and Insta360 cameras?
Often, through an adapter. DJI Osmo Action cameras come with a quick-release adapter that ends in GoPro-style fingers, and the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 comes with a Standard Mount that does the same. Insta360 X-series cameras use a ¼-20 thread instead.
What is an invisible selfie stick?
A thin pole sold for 360 cameras. Because it sits in the blind spot between the two lenses, the camera's software removes it from the stitched video, so the footage looks as if it was shot by a drone or a follow camera.
